Experience

I am a School Counselor with 15+ years of experience providing guidance to students aged 13–18 regarding career development, academic achievement, social behavior, and mental and physical health. I have a well-known ability to build a rapport with students and collaborate with teachers and parents to establish effective support networks. My Professional Counseling skills cultivate a stimulating and supportive environment to allow students to reach their fullest potential.

Goal for students

My goal as a college and career counselor is to work individually with each student, as well as their family, to make everyone aware of the full range of college options that ultimately help students find the one that continues to challenge academically and align with student interests, values, and career goals.

Experience

I am an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers University and Kean University, with 15 years of experience Tutoring Students in Math, SAT, GRE, and GMAT. As a Tutor, I have assisted students individually or in small groups and helped them improve their math skills. I have performed activities like developing tutoring resources, monitoring student progress, identifying areas needing improvement, helping with homework and preparing students for tests. My essential skills include math knowledge, communication, patience, attention to details, and instruction aptitudes.

Goal for students

The goal of my tutoring is to help students overcome academic challenges and lead them to autonomous or independent self-learning. My specialized tutoring is different from the teaching performed by teachers, friends, and parents. I offer students one-on-one attention, individualized explanation, and a chance for students to ask as many question as they like (some of which they may not ask people they know) in a nonjudgmental atmosphere. But most importantly, the goal of overcoming academic challenges must be realized that the target is academic independence in the student and not dependence on the tutor.
